New to fundraising? We’ve got you covered.

FIA’s new Fundraising Essentials course teaches you what you really need to know.

Created for new fundraisers just like you, Fundraising Essentials is the ‘101’ of fundraising. It teaches you what you really need to know about fundraising, all wrapped neatly into a one day course.

Packed full of practical information and tools, you’ll walk away with the knowledge and skills needed to negotiate the mass of fundraising information available and run effective fundraising programs.

Fundraising Essentials has been written by education specialists and senior fundraising professionals. The course is delivered by professional tutors whom are also experienced fundraisers, so they’ve been there, done that. It’s the perfect opportunity to draw on their experience!

Attending the course also gives you the chance to meet other new fundraisers, feel part of the sector and build your networks.

“I think the Fundraising Essentials course covers everything a first time fundraiser needs to know and would definitely recommend it to others. It helped me to gain a good understanding of basic fundraising principles, so I could hit the ground running in my role. It was great to learn from the knowledge and experience of someone who is actually working in the sector.  The day also offered us networking opportunities with other fundraisers and it was eye-opening to hear what other charities do, and the daily struggles and triumphs they experience. Since completing the course I feel like I have been able to implement and utilise the tools and learnings received to ensure that I act professionally, ethically and successfully as a fundraiser. Fundraising Essentials has helped my career immensely.”
